The piece is in 4 movements – Andante tranquillo, Tempo giusto, Largo assai, and Allegro. The first and second movement share an abrupt and and disjointed character. The third movement is extremely simple, almost subdued, while the fourth movement is faster and benefits from a more flowing writing.
