I am thrilled beyond words to initiate a two-year period as composer-in-residence with the Icelandic Caput Ensemble, one of Europe’s best ensembles for contemporary music. Six new works I will be composing and one already performed as of this writing, when Aaron Holloway-Nahum led Duxipidious to a very find first performance past November 13 during the ErkiTíð festival in the spectacular Harpa concert hall. Further pieces will include two works that will use the sensational 3D Sound Object for extended and non-conventional performance at the Reykjavik Arts Museum. The residency is supported by a grant from the Danish Arts Foundation.
